The Story

Since 1982, the Bloodstone Creature Complex has been dedicated to the capture and scientific study of the paranormal creatures of the world. Through our extensive research we have been able to prevent the deaths of countless human beings as well as the spread of insidious creatures most commonly known as vampires, werewolves, and the living dead. Our research has also helped to broaden our understanding of the inner workings of these and many other creatures including the paranormal realm that they come from. We have discovered a world beyond our own in which many of these creatures originate. Since this discovery we have been working to the extreme to find out how these horrible creatures enter into our world, and how we might be able to stop them from ever entering again. We have also noticed a disturbing trend in that the encounters and attacks between these monstrosities and the human race have been on the rise. Some researchers here have even hypothesized that there may be a nefarious mastermind that has been directing these various creatures and may eventually lead them towards a full scale invasion of our world. We cannot allow that to happen, but if it were, we would be prepared as our research has led to our understanding of how these creatures work, their weaknesses, and how their abilities could be harnessed by our worlds military might.

Bloodstone employs a group of highly trained military operative’s code named “Hunters” to seek out and capture paranormal creatures in order to keep the human race safe. They also do it to try to better understand how and why these creatures exist and if their unique abilities would ever translate into military weaponry. When a creature is capture by the Hunters, they are brought into the processing room where they are first examined for any immediate threats. They are then “collared” by special “electro-stasis” fields that are placed around their necks so that they are no longer a threat to the researchers and staff. At that point they are placed in observatory chambers where Creature Complex researchers watch and learn about the creature’s habits and abilities. Once it is deemed that the researchers have learned enough about a particular creature, they are then transferred to the main facility at Bloodstone and incarcerated for life.
